Day 178 – Today I am grateful for p to the rawns – prawns

I don’t like prawns. But I bought a cook book that told me to cook them. And so I did.

The results…

Awesome lettuce, prawn, and dill wraps with a mayonnaise and lime sauce.

Prawns are the easiest thing to cook in the world. Thanks again to Jorge Cruise for the easiest cook book I have ever read in my life. I still don’t like prawns, but these look too damn good to not eat.

Day 172 – Today I am grateful for Dr Oz and Jorge Cruise’s 18g protein, no sugar, 2 minute chocolate cake

I admit it. I love silent letters in names such as “Jorge”. That’s the only reason I tried this recipe that I saw on my fave show Dr Oz. I never bake hence why I didn’t think it was important that I didn’t have baking soda, nor was it important to know what the first ingredient meant henceforth ignoring it. I therefore made this cake without baking soda or sugar, and forgot the milk and added a shit load of liquid stevia after it was already cooked. It tasted so horrendous…that it was good. But with about 18g of protein, mama ain’t complaining. I imagine this would taste amazing if made correctly. Check it out…

2-Minute Cake With Almond Flour

Ingredients

1/4 cup Truvia Baking Blend

1/2 cup almond flour

3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1/8 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 egg

2 tbsp half & half

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until the mixture is even and smooth (no lumps).

Pour 1/4 of the mixture into a mug and microwave for 2 minutes.

Refrigerate remaining batter for later!

Day 163 – Today I am grateful for deciding what I want

Usually when I go to Winners to go clothes shopping I get overwhelmed by the amount of items they have and leave the store wondering why I bought a pink spatula sporting flying pigs with tutus.

I then made the realization if I decide what I want when I am there it might make things easier and less overwhelming. I decided I wanted something fitted, quirky (preferably with animals), with decent coverage.

Then the weirdest thing happened. My brain seemed to turn into a computer and all I could see were the items I wanted and everything else faded to the background. I ended up buying a sweet dress with HEARTS and BIRD CAGES on it. (It sounds awful, but I promise it’s better in person).

I then thought, wow, if I just decided what I wanted with everything in life, my brain would probably do the same thing and that’s all I would see.

I then tried out this theory at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I decided I wanted to buy towels with something pretty on them and I ended up with these sweet bird towels.

I also ended up with the following:

A night light that shows the universe on the ceiling

In summary, if you figure out what you want, most likely that’s all you will see from then on. And in addition to that, you might end up with a host of other cool shit like a night light which shows the universe.

Day 150 – Today I am grateful for Beer pong

Today I was thinking that my two favourite things in the world are beer and table tennis. It then perturbed me that Beer Pong has been available all my life to me, yet I have never played. I thought I had played it recently at a Wedding in Mexico, but now I realize I had actually played flip cup. (Probably why my team lost – sorry guys).

Day 124 – Anthony Robbins – Blood pH diet for amazing energy!

Today I am grateful for Anthony Robbins! My diet used to consist of white refined carbs, sugar, and coffee during university until I saw Anthony Robbins speak in Vancouver. I always thought it was normal to feel really tierd all the time, but then I heard about balancing your pH and now I feel like a 15 year old in a 19 year old’s body. You basically have to eat as much alkalizing foods as you can as it takes 20 parts alkaline to absorb 1 part acid. Pretty much anything green is alkaline (veggies, greens drinks), as well as certain fruits (really ripe bananas) and some grains. Everything else is generally acid (meat, dairy, white refined grains, sugar, smoking, alcohol etc.). Thank you Tony Robbins! I hope I meet you one day.
